Our aim was simple: to leave our children with their grandparents for once and to spend the weekend together, just the two of us, in Collioure. We had identified Collioure as our destination of choice a few weeks earlier and we booked two nights at Hôtel La Casa Païral. The atmosphere in the town is fantastic: you can real sense the history everywhere and it’s just so lovely to go and have a drink or eat seafood on the waterfront whilst enjoying the amazing view over the bell tower and the Mediterranean. The hotel itself is utterly charming and we would have liked to stay longer to “test” each room since each one is unique! We’ve already made a date for our next romantic get-away: it will be a weekend in Collioure and we’ll be staying at Hôtel La Casa Païral!
